Message from the Athletic Director

My name is David Carrillo and on behalf of Centennial High School, I would like to welcome you to the Home of the Hawks.   We truly appreciate and value your interest in our many and diverse athletic programs!

The Centennial Family fully understands the important role that athletics play in contributing to a well-rounded education as well as the intricate life lessons it teaches to our student athletes. The young men and women within our programs will learn to conduct themselves with honesty and integrity, strive for excellence, persevere through adversity, make sacrifices and compete with dignity and pride while developing a commitment towards teamwork and service to our school and community.

We expect our coaches, athletes, parents and spectators to conduct themselves in a manner that shows respect and sportsmanship whenever we interact with opposing teams, coaches, fans and officials.  We will never lower our standards and ask that you kindly help us to teach proper behavior to all those we interact with.

The Centennial Athletic Department’s philosophy is “We create Champions for the Future”.  It is a true honor of mine to introduce all students to an environment, which cultivates academic and athletic accomplishment, while embracing Excellence, Discipline and Sportsmanship. To that end, a Centennial athlete should pursue personal growth through academic work, team experiences, and as an ambassador of Centennial throughout their High School Career. Our athletic administration, staff and coaches are committed to providing a challenging, supportive and caring environment where our student-athletes can reach their academic, athletic and personal potential.
